Below are the Steps for the Texas Accessibility Standards Inspection Process:

Request for Inspection

    Request for Inspection Form

    • Complete the Request for Inspection form, signed by the facility owner or another party if assigned on the Owner Agent Designation Form, and ensure it has been submitted.

    Invoice Contact Form

    • The Fee Schedule on the Invoice Contact form is based on teh construction cost submitted during Registration.
    • Include contact information for the entity responsible for invoice and payment.

    Scheduling Contact

    • Provide scheduling contact and any other special scheduling instructions.

    Payment

    • Provide a check payable to Winning Way Services per the Fee Schedule on the Invoice Contact Form.
    • Optionally, Winning Way Services will invoice the entity on the Invoice Contact Form.

    Submissions to Winning Way Services

    Scheduling

    • Once we receive the requested documents and payment, we will group with other projects in the same geographical area and contact the designated contact with a proposed date and time for approval.
    • This process can take up to several weeks.

    Special Scheduling Times / Expedited Schedule

    • While it is difficult to accomodate a specific inspection time for every project, if you have a specific request, Winning Way Services will do our best to accomodate it.

    Post-Inspection

      Inspection – No Violations Noted

      • Once the inspection is completed and no violations are noted on the Inspection Report distributed to the Owner and the Architect, Winnig Way Services will return the project file to the State for close-out.
      • The State will issue a final Project Close-Out Letter to the facility owner, officially closing the project.
      • A Notice of Substantial Compliance form is to be completed by the owner or owner’s agent if a Certificate is desired for NEW CONTSTRUCTION projects only.

      Inspection – Violations Pending

      • Once the inspection is completed and violations are noted on the Inspection Report distributed to the Owner and the Architect, the facility owner will have a maximum of 270 days to correct the issues.

      ALL Pending Violations Have Been Corrected

      • Complete the Inspection Response form within the 270-day window and select Item “A”. This form must be signed by the facility or the contact designated on the Designated Agent form.
      • Submit the form(s) to Winning Way Services by emailing them to projects@winningway.net.
      • Winning Way Services will notify the facility owner when the end of the 270-day window is nearing before returning the project file to the State. Current owner email addresses are essential.
      • The State will issue a final Project Close-out Letter to the facility owner, officially closing the project.
      • A Notice of Substantial Compliance form is to be completed by the owner or owner’s agent if a Certificate is desired for NEW CONSTRUCTION projects only.

      Corrections Cannot Be Completed Within The 270-Day Period

      • Complete the Inspection Response form within the 270-day window and select Item “B”. This form must be signed by the facility owner or the contact designated on the Designated Agent form.
      • Submit the form(s) to Winning Way Services by emailing them to projects@winningway.net.
      • Winning Way Services will include the form(s) in the Project File and return them to the State.
      • Once the correction(s) have been performed, it is essential to complete another Inspection Response form and submit it directly to the State for final project close-out, as Winning Way Services will no longer possess the project file.
      • The State will issue a final Project Close-out Letter to the facility owner, officially closing the project.
      • A Notice of Substantial Compliance form is to be completed by the owner or owner’s agent if a Certificate is desired for NEW CONSTRUCTION projects only.
